A broadcast alarm is one that alerts when the alarm trips or clears.
Unlike our usual alarms that follow a call order and re-notify after a grace period, these alarms trip once. The positive aspect of these alarms is they are less insistent about bothering a user.
To make an alarm into a broadcast-only alarm that texts out the following conditions must be met:
- No user in the call order for the alarm can have call outs enabled
- At least 1 user must have texts.
If you have met these conditions, the alarm will text the users who have texts enabled, and email the users with email enabled at the trip and clear times.
